5 3 Employee FDD

Practical matters

Are you going to work with FlexDelft Detacheringen (FDD)? If so, we will take care of salary payments. We work in accordance with TU Delft's terms and conditions of employment package. Other matters concerning employment such as creating a NetID, expense claims and ICT resources are handled by the department.

Registration & Enrolment

The department you will be working for will complete a registration form. Once this is confirmed, you will receive an email requesting enrolment. When we have received this information, you will be sent an email asking you to provide additional information. After this, we can draw up the contract and send it for signature. The contract will contain all the information regarding the employment such as salary, hours, duration and leave balance.

Salary and payment

The salary is determined by the department you will be working for and is based on a scale and step from the VSNU Collective Labour Agreement.

Payment is made on the 24th of every month. If the 24th falls on a weekend, the salary will be transferred the Friday before. We adhere to TU Delft's payment dates, which are shown on the employee portal.

Payslip

You will receive login details for the payslip portal (www.flexwerker.com) upon commencement of employment. You can log in and view and download your payslip and annual statement.

Holiday pay, holiday hours and end-of-year bonus

You will accrue 8% holiday pay and 8.3% end-of-year bonus on your salary. Holiday pay is paid in May and the year-end bonus is paid in November or when you leave employment.

A leave balance can be found in your contract. This balance applies for the duration of the employment contract. In consultation with your supervisor, you can coordinate and track these hours yourself (in Excel, for example). All leave hours are meant to be taken during employment. In case of an extension, you may bring the hours with you. If you have not had the opportunity to take all your vacation hours during the employment period, the remaining vacation hours can be paid out after approval from your supervisor. The general principle, however, remains that vacation hours should be taken during the term of the employment contract.

Reimbursement of expenses

You will receive fixed monthly expense reimbursements. These amounts can be found in the contract. Expenses incurred for work can be declared (after approval) via TU Delft's employee portal. Commuting allowance is not included in the Collective Labour Agreement.

General Pension Fund for Public Employees (ABP)

The pension is accrued with the ABP. A monthly pension premium will be deducted from your salary, 1/3 of which is paid by the employee and 2/3 by the employer.

Illness

In case of illness, please inform the department and send an email to fdd@tudelft.nl. During the illness, you will be monitored by TU Delft's occupational health and safety service.

In the event of illness, FDD will continue to pay wages until the end date of the contract. For the first nine months of your illness, you will receive 100% of your salary and then you will receive 76% for up to 15 months for the hours you are unfit for work.
